Meet the Team

Lori Forgeron
President and CEO
Lori holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from St. Francis Xavier University and has been working in management and leadership positions for fifteen years. Lori brings her expertise in program development and implementation to this position as well as her years of working with marginalized individuals in the areas of career development and employability. Lori brings an inclusive management style to the team at WDCS North Ltd and her knowledge around strategic growth and planning will be instrumental in moving the organization forward in the years to come.

Laura Heagy
Executive Assistant
With over 15 years in the administration/accounting fields, Laura joined the team in 2010. She has had the opportunity to work in several different roles, including Reception, the Health and Safety Committee, and assisting with marketing, advertising and IT support. Her current role of Program Assistant allows her to work within several programs, including Job Options, TIOW, IES, as well as assisting with Administration and Accounting.
Laura is an active member of the arts community in Prince George. She has taught dance with Judy Russell’s Dance Centre for 17 years and is involved in various theatre productions.

Courtney Hayhurst
Administrative Coordinator
Courtney just returned to WDCS recently and is currently completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology, with minors in English and First Nations Studies. She brings a background of customer service and music, both as a musician and a teacher. Courtney is our happy, friendly front-line person who ensures you are welcome and directed to the appropriate program.

Kyla Kershaw
Program Development and Delivery Manager
Kyla is a Certified Career Management Professional with an Organizational Development Specialization from Yorkville University, and a Canadian Board Certified Life Skills Coach. As the Program Development and Delivery Manager for WDCS North Ltd., Kyla manages Ministry funded programming for essential skills, employability, and life skills, as well as creating customized Private Sector Programs and Projects. Kyla provides workforce development services for organizations and employers, professional development training, and workshops to frontline service professionals to enhance recruitment, engagement, and process optimization.

Norm Kershaw
Facilitated Services Instructor
Norm is a certified Life Skills Coach and Employability Skills Specialist with an extensive industrial management background. Actively involved with community sports and coaching activities, Norm brings strong motivational abilities and experience based insight to his work serving clients who face multiple barriers to employment.

Leasa Kells
Customized Employment Coordinator and Counsellor
Leasa is the Customized Employment Coordinator/Counsellor for Prince George, Mackenzie, McBride and Valemount. Leasa has a Bachelor’s of Social Work with First Nations Specialization and over 10 years’ experience working the field including Disabilities, First Nations Families, Justice, Youth and Adults at Risk. Leasa is a long time resident of Prince George and a Chihuahua lover.

Stuart Lee
Vocational Rehabilitation Services Manager
Stuart has graduated from the University of Victoria with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He is currently a Registered Rehabilitation Professional with the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRAC) and is a board member of the VRAC-BC society. Stuart has 24 years experience working with people with cognitive disabilities and mental health concerns. He currently provides vocational services to employment service centers throughout Northern BC including Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, and Dawson Creek. Stuart also provides vocational rehabilitation services to various insurers assisting clients with injuries return to the workplace.

Bev Collings
Job Developer
With over 10 years in the employment service sector, Bev is an ACEC Employment Counsellor, Job Developer, and private Recruitment Consultant. She brings a background in Industrial sales and management. Bev is a certified Personality Dimensions trainer, and has developed and facilitated employment workshops on The Hidden Job Market and Interview preparation. Bev is a previous Chamber Director, and NIMG member.
